Dawn Bennett is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor of Higher Education and Director of Curtin’s Creative Workforce Initiative. Her research focuses on developing employability within higher education, including identity development and the nature of graduate work.  Drawing on her first career as a musician (violist), Professor Bennett retains a special interest in careers in the creative industries and continues her practice-based research. She is also a passionate advocate for the inclusion of Indigenous cultural competencies within higher education.

Leon Straker is Professor of Physiotherapy at Curtin and has held two National Health and Medical Research Council Senior Research Fellowships. His research is on the impact of technology on health, with a focus on prevention. He has published more than 200 peer reviewed journal papers which have been cited more than 4000 times (Scopus). He has been investigator on grants worth more than $13 million, including more than $5 million as chief investigator on category one grants. He is a passionate mentor for early career researchers and has successfully supervised more than 70 research students to completion.
